First Annual Purple Pets for Prevention Parade

On October 20th, 2022, CVAC hosted their first annual Purple Pets for Prevention Parade for Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM).  Staff, volunteers, and community members dressed in their best (and warmest) purple attire and brought their similarly decked out pooches to participate in a short walk in downtown Binghamton. October 20th also happened to be #WearPurpleDay in New York State which is observed on the third Friday of October. The downtown area was busy with other events this night so the group of purple people and animals was surely a sight to see! We distributed flyers with links to donate to our agency and had a great time all around! We look forward to hosting this event for many years to come!
